Geweldig om te bouwen , uitdagend. Heel leuk en verrassend kado.

Average. This set was pretty much average. I do like that it’s designed to allow the overall modular hogwarts castle to turn, as the tower piece could be used as a corner. Buckbeak is a nice addition and the spiral staircase is a cool build to include as well, even though it poses some challenges that I’ll mention below. One last positive I can say about this is that I was able to place the middle door piece from the first flying lesson set between the two smaller pieces of this set, which I was happy about because it doesn’t really fit anywhere else. As far as cons, one is the spiral staircase. While it’s a cool build like I mentioned before, it kind of prevents the tower piece from being combined with other pieces of the castle from other sets. The staircase sticks out from the tower and makes it hard to combine it in certain spots without folding it back in. The last con would just be the price. I got this set because I wanted to complete my modular castle, but on its own, it’s not worth the current price. As another review mentioned, the hospital wing has more value for the same price. If this wasn’t as expensive and the spiral staircase didn’t make it slightly more difficult to combine this set with the others, I’d give it a higher rating. If you aren’t building the entire modular castle, there are better options for similar price points.

Courtyard. This isn’t a bad set per se. the inclusion of BuckBeak is fun and the spiral staircase was a fun experience to build. That being said, at $50 I really think the compelling factor here is completion for the sake of owning all the updated castle sets. On its own , I think it’s rather lackluster and wouldn’t provide a fun experience without other sets. For $50 I would recommend the hospital wing set (much better value for money with more mining’s and altogether more cohesive theme). This doesn’t form the courtyard, and nothing in this set stands out as landmark locations (from the books or movies). If this is something you need to own , wait for a sale, honestly scratching my head at how this cost me this much.
